Our Mission

“Adopt, Advocate, Assist, all for Haiti.”

The earthquake brought the world’s attention back to Haiti. It’s the poorest country in the world, yet it took an act of nature to bring our focus back to where it should have been all along. That’s the reason for the DecAid Project. It started the conversation of “why,” the conversation of “how.”

It started us thinking … what can we do to help?

Our vision comes from those initial questions, but it extends far beyond.

The needs present in Haiti are more than physical. It’s a situation of day-to-day survival, not a quick fix. We found that someone had to bridge the gap between everyday survival and a sustainable lifestyle for all Haitians.

We focus on five areas of development that are key to improving life on La Gonave. All five areas are essential for success of our mission: a sustainable future for Haitians. Check out all five areas; Health, Well-Being, Subsistence, Education, and Spiritual Formation.
